Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DeafHHS) is a private 501(c)3 non-profit agency established in 1996. We provide interpreter services, education, information and advocacy to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. We also provide information and educational services to the hearing community on Deaf-related matters. We are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

DeafHHS is devoted to the concerns of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and we pride ourselves on being fully committed to our mission statement:

We are here to empower individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing to reach their full potential in society through the elimination of communication barriers.

Do you need a smoke detector in your home specifically designed for deaf and hard of hearing people? If you request one, the Grand Rapids Fire Department and the Red Cross will install one in your home at no cost. Order one now!!! Interpreted events:

Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts, June 6, 7, and 8.

Visit www.festivalofthearts.org for Festival information. Interpreted events will include the Friday 6/6 opening ceremonies, the Saturday evening art awards ceremony, and the closing performance by the Bethel Pentecostal Church Choir on Sunday evening. Check their web site for more interpreted event information as it becomes available.
